Welcome to Foundation 4 Work

Foundation 4 Work offers work experience opportunities in a warehouse and retail setting where Gateshead residents can gain many of the employability skills that employers are looking for.

In addition, we have free one-to-one support to give you everything you need to write a winning CV and application form, search for jobs online, attend interviews with confidence or become self employed.

We believe personalised journeys are the most effective and rewarding therefore each programme is designed and delivered around your unique goals. We can help you with any part of the employment process. You may just want help with a CV for example, or we can offer a full package of support from start to finish. Our programme is designed around you.

That's not all! Everyone who takes part in work experience combined with job readiness training receives a pair of work boots and high vis vest to keep,  free of charge.

Foundations is a small team of really approachable, down to earth and friendly people. Before my placement I had no work experience but they gave me an opportunity to learn new skills in a very supportive environment. I am more confident now and being in the Foundations workplace has given me valuable experience in different aspects of work, as well as life, that I can take with me in my future endeavours.
