Welcome to Foundation 4 Work

Foundation 4 Work offers work experience opportunities in a warehouse and retail setting where anyone can gain many of the employability skills that employers are looking for.

Volunteering with us offers a wide range of hands-on and rewarding experiences. You can help organise and maintain our showrooms. You can also assist with loading and unloading the van, as well as preparing deliveries so everything is ready to go when the van returns.

You can also get involved in cleaning and repairing furniture, helping to give items a new life. Alongside these tasks, there are many other ways to contribute, making volunteering a varied and valuable experience where you can learn new skills and be part of a supportive team.

That's not all! Everyone who takes part in work experience combined with job readiness training receives a pair of work boots and high vis vest to keep,  free of charge.

Foundations is a small team of really approachable, down to earth and friendly people. Before my placement I had no work experience but they gave me an opportunity to learn new skills in a very supportive environment. I am more confident now and being in the Foundations workplace has given me valuable experience in different aspects of work, as well as life, that I can take with me in my future endeavours.
